Meet Our Staff
At Young People's Day Camp of Queens our staff makes the difference. Our entire staff is dedicated to giving your child a safe, enriching, fun-filled, and memorable summer. Camp operation is directed by Licensed Teachers and Administrators with more than 65 years combined experience. All Counselors are directly supervised by Division Heads consisting of experienced teachers and childcare professionals at least 21 years of age. College age counselors are provided with small groups and are assisted by Junior Counselors and CIT's. All staff is carefully interviewed and screened including a search with the NYS Department of Criminal Justice. During the selection process preference is given to teachers and education majors. To ensure a well rounded staff and enriching camp program our staff includes many specialty instructors including art, music, dance, drama, martial arts and swim.
